The sky was hazing into darkness as twilight hung over the town. It was about time for the street lights to come on and they hung like dim halos over the sidewalk. 'Twas time for all the bad boys to come out, was it not? It was too early for most of them, too early for the night life to start jumping too. Though, it was late enough for a few people to be around on the streets. One of those few people happened to be a boy that was a new face to the scene, a face that most didn't know and probably would be left alone, geussing int heir own minds because they didn't care enough to actually go up and ask him. He was the face that most people wouldn't know because most people went around in their own little worlds to even see what was going on right in front for their faces. It was a good thing that this boy wouldn't do anything to those people that walked around without a care. It wasn't his duty to give them the wake up call that they all deserved.
The hooded figure wandered down the sidewalk, stepping into the halo of light, then out of them again at a quick pace. Where did he have to go? He wasn't quite sure. Ethan had designated this night to go exploring the place that he would live for the next few years. Scan out the people that lived here and see what really went on out of the class room. Of course, there was always that in sight to go look for the local drug runners of the place. He couldn't be out at school with out his drugs now could he? He was also looking to make some cash to go buy those said drugs. And of course, he wasn't looking for a job. Thin viles of prescribed pills jingled in his hoody pocket as he walked down the street. The medication was for him, sure, but it wasn't like he used it. Plus, there seemed to be a big market out there for anti depressants. Why? He had no idea, it was just was he did so it was no skin off his back to sell it to some random kid.
Yellow-green eyes stared over the landscape, spying a local gas station. Oooo. Well, this could be interesting. Kids garbed in back hung around deep in the shadows, hiding from the light of the discriminating light of the side of the building. A quick, cat smile rose over his lips as he watched them with amusement. They were young, probably the local high school population from around here. Burn bit the inside of his cheek as his worn converse patted along the cement and off onto the asphault driveway of the gas station. A lock of his raven hair batted at his eyes, causing him to do quite a feminine toss of his hair to the side. He got it quite a lot that he could be gay but everyone was ignorant, at least, so he thought. He wasn't gay, by any stretch of the word. He just wore tight pants and had some mannerisms like a girl, didn't make him gay, now did it? His wolf-ish smile stayed in place as he approached the skater punks on the side of the building.
Ten minutes later, Burn walked away from the shadows with a comforting $400 bucks in his pocket. Was he a scammer, you bet. Did he care? Hell no. Teeth chewed on the inside of his cheek, a nice little habit of his, as he looked around, there really wasn't much to do around here, was there? A sigh escaped his lips as he walked into the gas station and perchased a slushie. Red slushie in hand, he perched himself on a bench on one side of a grimey looking table to watch the people move in and out of the gas station. Why this was any excuse for entertainment, he didn't know, but it worked for him. Darkly lined eyes squinted as he watched the people mingle in their mundane lives. It amused him greatly but sitting there for 10 minutes, no one really caught his fancey. No attractive girls. Damn. Ethan made a face at the thought and slouched into his chair. What good was a college campus with no attractive girls?! Perhaps he'd give the poor old gas station another 15 minutes to come up with at least a decent looking girl and if none came, he'd have to relocate, now wouldn't he?
