Gender:
Female

Caucasian: British
Facemodel- Keira Knightly
General Features:
Kiera isn't exactly your girl next door. In fact, she is nothing like that girl at all. Innocent, sweet, caring? Not quite. You can tell from first glance that Miss Soulem does not fit those endearing qualities at all. Maybe vivacious, sarcastic, deceptive, possibly even alluring? She has a willowy, graceful structure, at five feet, seven inches tall, and a well-balanced one hundred and eleven pounds (last time she checked). She is perfectly aware of her looks, and isn't frightened to let them help her get what she want's every now and again.
A very athletic girl, Kiera is slender and a tad more muscular than most girls her age are. She's a bit of a health nut, you know the type. Running a mile every day in the morning, fruits and veggies instead of Chef Boyardee. It just comes naturally to her when she grew up around a health-obsessed Mother. Though she doesn't go so far as to add up how many carbs she consumes each day, and is not one to be afraid of eating an entire box of Krispy Kreams if the opportunity does arise.
With intense chocolate brown eyes, and dirty-blond hair, Kiera differs greatly from the rest of her family. She comes from a bloodline of blond-haired, blue-eyed fill-figured women. Her hair is slightly wavey, and -currently- falls down to just below her shoulders, with a hint of bangs. (She almost always wears it down, she can't be bothered to force it into any type of up-do.)
When she feels like a change, she cuts it into short, almost page-boy do, with thick blond bangs that she is endlessly brushing out of her face.
She has a straight, slightly curved nose and full plush lips, often buried under various colors of lip gloss. Her eyes are wide, almost doe-like, with frivolously long eyelashes, tucked underneath delicate eyebrows.
Kiera has a pair of contacts, but she rarely uses them. In her words, "To much of a hassle for to little a result."
When she was younger, she had bad acne that went from her forehead, down the side of her face, and to her chin. She uses a prescription medication, but like everyone, she gets a few zits every once and a while.
Along her jaw is a hairline scar, which she received when she was fourteen years old. Her and her friends decided it would be fun to go inside an old abandoned building at the back of her property, the result: falling face-first onto a rusty, frayed cable. Second Result: Major flesh wound.
Kiera has naturally pale skin, and burns more easily than she tans, so, to get that nice golden glow she has, she uses the bottle stuff. Don't knock it until you've tried it.
As for piercings and tattoos, Kiera is terrified of needles. But only at the doctors office. For some reason, the smell of disinfectant and seeing people in scrubs just makes the needle seem worse than it really is.
She has both of her ears pierced, and in the left one she has her upper cartilage pierced with a hoop. She's to wimpy to get her tongue pierced, and she doesn't fancy having a huge gaping hole in either her lip or her eyebrow.
Her ink? She has a small upside-down heart on her right wrist, probably a centimeter by a centimeter in size, colored black. On her left wrist, she has a right-side-up heart, same size, same color.
Since she was born in England, Kiera does have a british accent. She tried to get rid of it when she first moved to the states, but gave up once she realized she was stuck with the lyrical vocal lilt for life.
Kiera's style isn't anything extremely eye-catching, she doesn't wear all black, and she doesn't wear Hollister. She's kind of stuck in the middle. Most often you'll find her in tight-fitting jeans and a t-shirt, nothing fancy. She has more jeans than you could count, black, blue, even bleached. Some are ripped at the knees, up the legs, a few at the pockets. A few have pen and sharpie drawings and quotes on them, and her favorite pair has all of this, and also a couple of belt-loops missing.
For shoes she most often rotates between her many pairs of flats, flip-flops, and Chuck Taylor's.
She likes old, or vintage looking tee's. Most often with the logo of a band nobody's ever heard of emblazoned on the front. She like's chunky bead necklaces, and has hundred of them draped over her dresser, and even a few hanging from her clothes-hangars. Casual chic, would be the best way of describing it. Though she has been known to throw on a few jean skirts, and when she isn't in jeans, she's in skater-shorts. Most of them stolen from past boyfriends.
But that just adds to her charm.
Personality:
Kiera has a lot of this.
Most of the time, she's a sarcastic, but agreeable person. She's intelligent, and won't dumb down for anyone, and she won't throw out compliments and respect with reckless abandon. The only thing sharper than her mind is her tongue, being bold, opinionated, and sometimes just a pessimistic bitch. She's always scoping out the angles, it's what she does. She isn't afraid to lie, insult, and chat if she has to. When she's backed into a corner, she'll strike as hard and as fast as possible, just like anyone else. Kiera has no problem walking up to complete strangers and acting as though she's known you since you were three years old, but she also has no problem walking up to a complete stranger and making them seem like the most arrogant prick on earth.
Bright and attentive, but stupidly bold at times. She can hold a nasty grudge when need be, like any member of the female gender.
She's what her Mom used to call an 'Old Soul.' Someone who's wise beyond their years, and knows what's coming even before they peek around the corner. She handles stress extremely well, and is calm and in-charge in hectic situations.
Though Kiera may seem like an outgoing individual, when she wants to, she can be quite shy and drawn-back. When you meet her in one of her 'I'm a loner, a recluse, I don't need anyone to survive' moods, she can be much more unpleasant than previously observed.
Thrill-seeking. Adrenaline is Kiera's best friend, the natural drug that she is forever hooked on. She doesn't mind if she bleeds, or she hurts, or she breaks a bone or two, as long as she feels like she could jump off the Empire State Building and fly, if only for a few minutes.
She can't say no to a dare, and seems to never be embarrassed with what she says or does. Kiera never takes anything back, once she's said it, and she meant to say it, it's said. The end.
History:
Born in Birmingham England, on January 4th 1988, Kiera Soulem joined her brother and sister, both older than her. (By three and then six years- each child was born three years apart). She was born to Julian and Adam Soulem, her Mother was a writer, and her Father was in the film industry. Both Julian and Adam loved kida, which was why they had their own in such quick procession, and in their early twenties. Both her parents being in the aristic/creative branch of work, Kiera was surrounded by art and music and beauty her entire childhood, going to movie sets with her Father, and traveling around with her Mother well she wrote, and worked on some amateur photography.
Kiera and her siblings adored each other, even though, like all siblings, they sometimes fought like cats and dogs. When Kiera was fifteen years old, her Father's movie career was blowing up, and her Mother's writing career was finally beginning to wind down. Since their financial positions had changed dramatically, they decided to move their family to the United States, where they thought they would receive a more well-rounded education, and be exposed to different cultures.
Being a fifteen year old girl and having to move to a different school, let alone a different country altogether, was hard of Kiera. She didn't feel as though she fit in with anyone, and kept mostly to herself.
After a while she met Cera, who would later become her best friend. Cera was higher-up on the social ladder than Kiera was, and with her help, Kiera slowly began gaining more confidence, and more respect from her peers.
Kiera was either oblivious of the fact that she was pretty, or just didn't want to deal with what would come if she acknowledged it, but Cera taught her that it was okay to make people notice you and be outgoing. So, naturally, when Cera moved away when they were both seventeen, Kiera was devastated.
Soon after, Kiera's Mother Julian was diagnosed with brain cancer, and began treatments. Thrown into a sudden bought of depression, Kiera went back to her old ways, sitting in the back of the classroom, and trying not to get noticed.
As Kiera's sister and brother both went away to college to begin careers, Kiera realized that she wanted something different. Her parents were a writer and a director, and her sister was a clothes designer, and her brother an graphic's designer. She didn't want to have an artistic career and follow along with the rest of her family, so, she applied to Evans University, which was a scientific college. She didn't expect to get in, so when she did, it was a surprise. Since she hadn't picked out a career path before sending in her application, Kiera had to decide what she wanted to do with the rest of her life, in the time slot of about two months. In two months time she would have to send payment, and secure her place at the University. Which, eventually, she did do.
Kiera's sister got married to her long-time boyfriend last year, and then they both sped off to start their careers, her brother went back to England to go to school, and this left Kiera all to herself for a few years.
While this was going on, Kiera' Mother relapsed with her cancer, and this time she did not pull through. Kiera's Father was rightfully devastated, and soon after his wife's death decided to move back to Birmingham, claiming that that was where Julian had been happiest. So this left Kiera alone, waiting to go off to school with only one relative in the united states, and that was her newly-wed sister, who was jetting around for her school.
In the month that Kiera had the family house to herself, a family down the street was robbed and murdered. This event woke Kiera up from the suspended life she had been living, and it was then that she decided she wanted to work in the criminalistic bureau, with evidence. She was inspired and fascinated when she saw the men and women working diligently, lifting fingerprints and looking for any stray hair or misplaced footprint. The murder was not solved, which just hardened Kiera's resolve.
